Man of the Moment

I am so confused.  The Republicans have gone from one not-Romney to another almost on a weekly basis.  Why oh why does anyone think that Newt Gingrich is the last one standing?  Why do people think that he represents the resolution of this competition?  Again, no votes have been cast, no delegates selected.  But the media seems to have reached a conclusion.  I am sure GOP voters will just go along with the consensus of experts and polls.

I am very tempted to put some money down on the anti-Gingrich line.  Anyone know of a casino that is taking such bets?

Problem is that I would want to bet the field, which is not an option. I would bet on anyone but Newt.

At the end of the day it's going to be Romney as the nominee. Republicans are kidding themselves if they think otherwise. Perhaps picking Romney is a good sign that maybe the GOP isn't as irrational as they seem right now...at least he makes sense some of the time.

Obama has to be sitting comfortably in the West Wing though.

Poor Jon Huntsman. His only fault is being a Musli.. err Mormon. One of those M-words that apparently indicates Satanic worship.
