Lies, Damn Lies, and Govt Accounting

Ok, this table would seem to clarify things:


Except the very first line means that the F-35 would be costing less than $100 million per plane.  If you believe that, stand on your head.  I am still frustrated that the numbers debate in Canada is ignoring the flying elephant in the room--that we do not yet know what the plane will cost anyone.  Plus with more countries cutting the orders, the economies of scale will become diseconomies of not so much scale.

Oy.
